Donna Renea Privett

Donna Renea Privett, 52, of Blountsville, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.  She was born June 25, 1966, in Marshall County, to James and Ruby Morris Mayo.

Donna was a RN, working most recently, as a nurse, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. She worked as a waitress at JR’s, in Holly Pond, as well as at the Holly Pond Café. Ms. Privett loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, canoeing, and fishing; and she enjoyed watching hummingbirds. Donna also loved to crochet. But most importantly, Donna loved her family and she was treasured by them as well. She was surrounded by an adoring family as she departed from this world.

Ms. Privett is preceded in death by her father, James Mayo.

Survivors include her mother, Ruby Mayo; life partner, Randy Lynn Rainwater; son, Matthew (Samantha) Privett; stepsons, Michael Rainwater, Matthew Rainwater; daughters, Tracie (Jason) Carpenter, Julie (Jay) Gibson, Meagan (Nick) Cagle; brothers, Timmy Mayo, Daniel Mayo, Mikey Mayo, Joey Mayo, Patrick Mayo; sister, Kristy Blankenship; and fourteen grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ms. Privett are 3 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2019, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Matt Kephart officiating. Burial will follow in Roswell Creek Cemetery. Nick Cagle, Jay Gibson, Jason Carpenter, Matthew Rainwater, Michael Rainwater, and Keith Burke will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to services, from 1 p.m., until services begin at 3 p.m.
