Suzanne Messersmith

Suzanne Moon Messersmith beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2020.

She is preceded in death by her parents William Harold Moon and Elizabeth Coggin Moon, and by her sister, Betty Moon Townsend.

She is survived by her husband, Russell O Messersmith, son Trey (Monica) Giles, daughter Allison (John) Lefeve, daughter Laura (Morris) Britt, daughter Emily (Richard) Bradbury, daughter Natalie (Joshua) Bullard, grandchildren Will Giles, Carter Giles, Albany Bullard, Asher Kyte, Regan Lefeve, Georgia Giles, Ellie Lefeve, Julie Britt, Davis Lefeve, Caleb Bradbury, Millie Bullard, Josephine Britt, Bridger Bullard, Cora Baradbury, and soon to arrive, Phillip Britt, and her brother Jim Moon.

Raised in beautiful and historical Attalla, Alabama thus began Suzanne’s love of old homes and southern architecture. She loved to work in her yard among her flowers. Suzanne was naturally gifted with a green thumb – sharing her yard bouquets often with others.

She loved her family, always having the best tablescapes at every gathering.

Suzanne will be greatly missed. She loved her heavenly Father with a great passion. As a family, we are determined to show the love of the Father and to let her warm laughter and amazing smile shine through us.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon at Hamby Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery on Saturday, June 6, 2020.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Suzanne’s honor to Beth Yeshuu International Ministries.
