Noah “Skip” Ritter Compton, Jr., 63, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020. He was born September 14, 1957, in Richlands, Virginia, to Noah Ritter Compton, Sr., and Lottie Geneva Lester.
Mr. Compton was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a member of the American Legion Post #4 in Cullman. Noah was proud of his country and he was honored to serve in the Marine Corp. We are grateful for his sacrifice and service to our nation.
Noah is preceded in death by his father, Noah Compton, Sr.; beloved wife, Janice Compton; and son, B.J. Walker.
Survivors include his mother, Jean Compton; brothers, Jim Compton (Luann), Pat Compton (Lisa); brother-in-law, Ricky Kimbril; sister-in-laws, Judy Kirkland (Red), Freida Weeks (Jimmy); good friends, Kyron Yarbrough and Joel Brannon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mr. Compton are 2 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2020, in Holly Pond Cemetery, with Brother Tommy Graves officiating. Kyron Yarbrough, Chris Kilgo, Shawn Kilgo, and Tyler Kilgo will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, November 18, 2020, from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m.
